1. Docker Volumes and Compose
LXC
- SSH into LXC:
ssh monitor
- Update and upgrade packages:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
- Reboot the system:
sudo reboot
VM and Raspberry Pi
- SSH into VM:
ssh pi
- Update and upgrade packages:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
- Navigate to scripts directory and run zip script:
cd ~/scripts/zip && ./zip.sh
- Verify backups:
ls -l /media/truenas/Sid/Backups/zips/
- Reboot the system:
sudo reboot
- List of VM's:
media ai minecraft network apps smtp test
2. Habits (Habitrove)
- Create a new folder on NAS:
/media/truenas/Sid/Backups/Habitrove/{current_date}
- SSH into apps server:
ssh apps
- Copy Habitrove data:
cp -r /home/apps/docker/habittrove/data /media/truenas/Sid/Backups/Habitrove/{current_date}
3. FreshRSS
- Access FreshRSS: https://rss.dembi.xyz
- Navigate to Subscription Management.
- Click Import/Export > Export and save the file to the backup folder.
- Select Download SQLite and save it to the backup folder.
4. Vaultwarden
- Open the self-hosted Vaultwarden browser extension.
- Go to Settings > Vault options > Export Vault.
- Export the encrypted JSON file to the backup folder.
- Export the non-encrypted JSON file to a temporary location.
- Sign in to https://vault.bitwarden.com/ (not self-hosted).
- Delete all saved passwords.
- Click Import, select the non-encrypted JSON file, and proceed.
- Delete old passwords from the trash.
- Delete the non-encrypted JSON file from the temporary location.
5. Radicale
- Log in to the self-hosted Radicale server.
- Download the following files:
Calendar.ics
Contacts.vcf
Reminders.ics
- Log in to iCloud:
- Select all contacts and delete them.
- Click the + icon in the top-right corner and select Import.
- Import the
Contacts.vcf file.
- Log in to Google Contacts:
- Delete all contacts.
- Click Import, select the
Contacts.vcf file, and import without assigning a label.
6. Streamlit Database Backup
- Open Streamlit locally or visit https://streamlit.dembi.xyz.
- Select Timestamp from the dropdown menu.
- Select Previous Entries (Raw), click Download CSV, and save to the backup folder.
- Select Previous Entries (Cleaned), click Download CSV, and save to the backup folder.
7. Bookmarks
- Open Brave Browser in the "Sid Main" profile.
- Go to Settings > Bookmarks.
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner and select Export.
- Save the file to the backup destination.
- Repeat for the "Sid Study" and "thelyinglama" profiles.
8. Music
- Paste the playlist link into MeTube.
- Copy downloaded songs to their respective playlist folders (e.g., English songs to the "English" folder).
- SSH into media VM:
ssh media
- Navigate to scripts directory and run music script:
cd /home/media/scripts/music && ./music.sh
- Restart the Navidrome Docker container.
9. Router
- Access the router gateway: http://192.168.1.254
- Navigate to Maintenance > Backup and Restore > Export.
10. Photos
- Upload all photos from iPhone/Pixel to TrueNAS.
- Delete all photos from the iPhone/Pixel gallery.
11. Health, Blogs, and Text Files
- Copy files from the following directories to the backup folder:
/media/truenas/media/Sid/Blogs
/media/truenas/media/Sid/Server
/media/truenas/media/Sid/Health
12. TrueNAS to Raspberry Pi
- Copy folders from TrueNAS to Raspberry Pi:
Siddhu folder to pi > first
Media folder to pi > external
Audio folder to pi > external
Backups folder to pi > second
- Click Merge to combine folders.
13. VM Backup
- Transfer VM backup from Raspberry Pi to TrueNAS.
- Transfer contents of the
dump folder from pi > second to truenas > dump.
14. Password File
- Copy the password (PW) file to the backup destination.
15. TrueNAS to OneDrive
Backup
- Upload the backup folder from TrueNAS to OneDrive using Safari for stability.
- Do not upload ISO images inside the backup folder.
Photos
- Upload new photos from TrueNAS to OneDrive.
16. Snapshots
- Create snapshots of each VM.
17. Docker Images
Update Docker Services via Portainer
- Visit Portainer: https://192.168.1.32:9443/#!/3/docker/containers
- Open a container (e.g., n8n).
- Stop the container.
- Recreate the container with Repull image and Recreate enabled.
- Remove unused images.
Update SMTP Mailcow
- SSH into SMTP server:
ssh smtp
- Navigate to mailcow directory and update:
cd /opt/mailcow-dockerized/ && sudo ./update.sh
18. Mac Brew
- Update and upgrade Homebrew:
brew update && brew upgrade
19. Parents' Photos Backup
- Export Google Photos once every 6 months.
